I work with colour as energy.
My name is Pia Malmstrup, and I create artworks that explore how colour can move us — emotionally, intuitively, and spiritually. For me, colours are never silent; they vibrate, they carry rhythm, and they speak to something deep within us.
Without knowing it at the time, I shared a vision with Wassily Kandinsky, who wrote that “color is a power which directly influences the soul.”
That belief lives at the heart of my practice.
The Sound of Colour— the name of my gallery and my artistic direction — reflects this. My paintings are born from intuition, movement and the courage to create something larger than myself. They invite viewers into a space where colour becomes experience, and where a single moment can shift the way we feel.
